Buying a house or apartment is the largest investment most of us will ever make. It represents years of hard work and sacrifice. Now, imagine putting everything on the line to buy a property, only to discover it's subpar, full of issues, and doesn’t deliver the joy you’d envisioned. Or picture spending your life savings on your first apartment, only to find it riddled with problems. You’re now stuck contributing to the strata scheme to fix them because the builder and developer have disappeared, and you have no money left. It’s beyond us why anyone would do that to another person just to make a quick buck. It’s sickening. Doing the right thing doesn’t cost more, and the time it takes to get it right the first time actually saves time in the long run. When things are done properly, they’re done once—not five times over. We believe in giving people exactly what they paid for: a compliant building that performs as it was designed to. A building that meets the expectations of our clients. And honestly, we don’t think that’s anything special—it should be the bare minimum. We expect that level of reliability from everything we buy, whether it’s a fridge, a TV, or clothing—so why shouldn’t we expect it from the biggest purchase of our lives? You should. We simply give our clients exactly what they’ve asked for, and then some. No tricks, no exaggerations, no ‘oh, you have a steep site…very expensive’, no sneaky money grabs—just honest service in exchange for an agreed value. It’s a shame that this isn’t standard practice in the building industry. In fact, it’s rare, and that’s unfair. We are very selective when it comes to our clients. We will only deal with honest, transparent and reasonable people. We will not compromise on quality, safety and compliance for money, even if asked to. These days builder don’t actually build, they construction manage. All trades are performed by subcontractors, and it is the management of the subcontractors that really is the specialty of a builder. Anyone can build, but to manage the trades efficiently and actually achieve a compliant, quality product, that is what builders bring to the table. If you have ever tried to deal with a tradesman, you will understand what we mean. The two founding directors of E-Con Group are educated professionals. One with an engineering degree from UTS and the other undertook a bachelor of building in construction management from the same university. One last thing, as mentioned previously, we simply give our clients what they ask for…so don’t judge us on the design or the colour schemes of the homes we have built for some of our clients. Everyone has their own taste, so just look at the quality of our builds and not the design/colours/décor. | ![]() |
