Boat House, Dolans Bay

The Boathouse, located on the shores of Dolans Bay, involved the complete renovation of an existing two level waterfront home, including its pool and deck, transforming it into a modern one bedroom coastal retreat.

With limited land access, all materials, equipment, and machinery had to be transported by barge, requiring careful planning and coordination. The team worked closely with engineers, surveyors, and regulatory authorities, including Maritime, Fisheries, and Crown Lands to meet the strict requirements for tidal and foreshore works.

The renovation involved rebuilding the deck and pool, reinforcing the structure for long term stability, and using durable, marine suitable materials. Extensive glazing was installed to maximise light and views, while finishes and joinery were selected for both aesthetics and resilience in a coastal environment.
