Evia, Caringbah South |
| A finalist in the 2025 HIA awards this waterfront home located in Caringbah South, Evia is a three-level renovation that transformed an existing property into a modern coastal home. The project required careful construction planning due to its steep, cliffside site. Building on the waterfront meant managing complex engineering requirements, including retaining structures, extensive waterproofing, and staged works to ensure stability. A major part of the build involved integrating an infinity pool and cabana on the lower levels. These elements were constructed into the rock face, requiring precise coordination with structural engineers to ensure safety, durability and seamless integration with the existing terrain. Throughout the home, natural materials were installed with a focus on craftsmanship and long-term performance. Internally, limestone flooring, lime-washed walls and stone detailing were fitted to achieve the desired aesthetic while maintaining structural quality. The open-plan kitchen and living areas feature custom stone elements that required accurate fabrication and installation. Externally, multiple terraces were constructed to connect the home with its surroundings. The infinity-edge pool, finished in ocean-toned tiles and framed with stone, was carefully engineered to achieve the visual effect of merging with the horizon. The cabana below includes an outdoor kitchen, dining area and access to the jetty, all built with attention to structural reinforcement and weather resistance. Through close collaboration with the project architect, the construction team delivered a technically challenging build with consistent detailing throughout. Evia highlights E-Con Group’s capability in complex, design-led construction, successfully addressing difficult site conditions while delivering high-quality finishes and long term durability. |
